Chapter: 473
Our daughter?
Julie felt offended by Patricia's choice of words, but she pressed her lips and managed to stop herself from saying anything.
She felt as if her territory had been invaded. What was hers was no longer hers anymore. And she didn't Like the feeling at all.
She was more offended because it didn't come from a stranger, but from her best friend of 20 years, Patricia.
So, although she didn't like it, she didn't say anything about it.
When Julie didn't say anything to contradict what she said, Patricia smiled happily.
Satisfied, she held Vivian's hand and said, "Don't worry, my dearest one. The whole family will be behind you. Public opinion is what makes and unmakes famous people these days. So if anyone drags your name through the mud on the Internet, I will hire some trolls on Twitter to help you kill the negative comments."
Boden nodded and added, “I'm with you on hiring the trolls. With the preparatory work of Song Of Phoenix going on, I will never allow anyone to abuse my cousin and her work on the Internet."
With that, the members of the Jenkins family reached an agreement on what to do concerning the comments of plagiarism on the Internet.
With everyone on Vivian's side, Julie couldn't question her daughter anymore, especially with everyone watching.
“I guess... Maybe if we don't attract the attention of Mia, the author of Female Military Counsellor, then we wouldn't get into any trouble," Julie said, hoping that things wouldn't go that way.
She had heard about this Mia. Apparently she was such a low-key Internet writer that even some fans doubted if she really existed.
Not long ago, Mia had registered a Twitter account. As one could expect, it caused a lot of talking on the Internet. All her fans most especially, were ecstatic.
However, all of their excitement stopped when just after creating the account, Mia stopped using it, once again falling into her low-key lifestyle.
“I'm a little tired. I'll go back to my room and rest first," Julie said and left the living room. She didn't want to stay there and kill their joy since she wasn't half as happy as they were.
Maria felt a big hand spread gently on her forehead.
She opened her eyes slowly and met Anthony staring down at her. ley, what are you doing?"
“You've been sleeping a lot recently. I'm just taking your temperature to make sure you're okay," Anthony answered softly and withdrew his hand.
“I see," Maria said with a smile before adding, “But don't you need a thermometer to do that? I doubt your hand can give you an accurate answer." Thinking that he probably Looked for it but didn't find it, Maria decided to stop teasing him.
She pulled out the drawer of the bedside table, took out the thermometer that was inside and showed it to Anthony with a proud smile.
