Chapter: 506
“Boden told me that the Smith family has arranged someone to receive us at the airport in Broome. It's only natural that I'd book first-class tickets for all of us. After all, it's Vivian's first time visiting her grandfather. We can't look shabby."
Bill's voice was loud, acting Like he was a very gallant person. Vivian also wore a huge smile on her face. Her outfit was comparable to that of a superstar walking on the red carpet. The jade bracelet on her wrist stood out the most, looking incomparably precious. In fact, she forced her mother to let her wear it today.
“These two..." Seeing her husband and daughter to be in such high spirits, Julie could just sigh.
After looking around for a while, Julie suddenly frowned. It was almost the appointed time to board, but Maria and Anthony were nowhere to be found.
“Bill, didn't you tell Maria and Anthony what time we will leave? The security check will be over soon. Why aren’t they here yet?"
Bill just scoffed and deliberately ignored his wife's worry.
“I sent a message to Maria. Now, whether they show up or not is none of our business."
“You don't care if they come or not?" Julie repeated, widening her eyes in disbelief.
“Bill, you are holding all of our tickets. If Maria and Anthony were late, how can they get on the plane?"
“What do you mean all of our tickets?" Hearing this, Bill smiled slyly and said, “I only bought tickets for the three of us. Why would I buy for those two?"
Julie swallowed hard. It never occurred to her that Bill would actually do this.
She let her husband take care of everything about their trip, including booking the tickets, because he offered.
ALL along, she trusted Bill to include Maria and Anthony. It was actually her fault for being too complacent.
“What about Maria and Anthony? What are they going to do?" Julie was disappointed and frustrated that she couldn't help raising her voice.
This time, before Bill could talk back, Vivian was the one who spoke first.
“Mom, why are you so worried about your daughter who already has a fiance? Maria has been living with Anthony for some time now. Isn't it his responsibility already to buy tickets for the two of them? First-class tickets are very expensive. It's not like Dad is just picking up money from the ground!"
Hearing this, Julie was somehow rendered speechless. She didn't know how to refute Vivian's words.
After a while, Julie seemed to have found her words again. "But your grandfather had someone wait for us at the airport in Broome. If they don't take the same flight as us, the Smith family's people won't be able to take care of them."
Vivian smiled, raising an eyebrow. Wasn't that great?
Of course she didn't say what she was thinking out loud.
