Maria was adopted but she was now forced to have a maternity test with her adopted mother. How ridiculous! Julie only hoped that the whole plan wouldn't annoy Maria.

In fact, Julie had done this to make her father happy. Maria was a sensible girl so she probably wouldn't refuse.

Julie was so absorbed in her thoughts that she blurted it out without thinking.

“The maternity test should be done as soon as possible. The results should be available within six hours..."
