Chapter: 533
Julie weighed her options and thought it would cause no harm to tell Vivian the truth.
Julie had no choice but to tell her the “adapted truth".
“The day before we came to Broome, your grandfather had a peculiar dream. He dreamt he had two real granddaughters. He thought his dream was real, so he insisted on making Maria have a maternity test with me."
“What? How could Grandpa take a silly dream so seriously? Isn't he being..."
Vivian stopped short of saying “stupid”. She held her tongue for her own good.
Julie managed to calm Vivian down, but deep down she was still depressed.
In fact, the "truth" she had made up was a scene from her own dream. The day before she had set out to Broome, a surreal dream had come to her, one in which she had two daughters.
The dream was still fresh in Julie's mind.
Out of the two daughters, one was a baby with a pair of angel wings on her back.
In the dream, the baby kissed Julie's cheek, and then flew higher and higher until she disappeared in the sky.
This other daughter was not Vivian, but Maria.
Even in the dream, Maria's voice was cold and arrogant.
"Mom," was the only word Maria had uttered.
Although her face was expressionless, her eyes were sincere.
It was a ridiculous dream, but it had left Julie with a sense of happiness that she hadn't felt for a long time. For the first time in twenty years, she had really felt Like she was a mother.
Of course, Julie had not dared to tell Bill and Vivian that she had such a dream.
After all, the two of them had not appeared in her dream. Was this a betrayal to her family?
Julie blamed herself for this, but she often secretly thought of the two daughters in her dream.
“Mom, are you going to make a fake test report to make Grandpa happy?" Vivian suddenly became vigilant.
She was afraid that if her mother did something stupid, her grandfather would really treat Maria as his granddaughter and even give her a portion of his money in the future.
