Chapter: 58
It was her intention to make Maria realize what she could do.
She could easily give Vivian an opportunity to become an A-list actress.
Maria, on the other hand, would get nothing from her because she was a small fry from a small, remote town.
Patricia wanted to make Maria see how she made Vivian famous. This was her punishment.
After all, Maria shouldn't have tried to audition at Yeez Entertainment and upset Vivian.
“Hey! Where did that girl go?"
She glanced around the living room, but Maria was no longer to be found.
Although she didn't mean to ask it out loud, Lily replied to her ina hurry, "Miss Maria has gone back to her room, Ma'am. She didn't even wait for you to finish speaking. How rude.”
Of course, Patricia was so stunned that the corners of her mouth started twitching in anger.
She was trying to demonstrate her authority to Maria, but the girl already left before she could even ridicule her.
“Humph!" Patricia could only snort derisively. Right now, she felt even more annoyed that she got ignored by a simpleton.
Meanwhile, Vivian was so overjoyed with the good news that she didn't even notice Maria's disappearance and Patricia's exasperation.
“Aunt Patricia, I'm going to the piano room to practice. I promise I won't embarrass you tomorrow!”
Vivian had her own piano room upstairs that was dedicated to her rehearsals.
While she merrily ran upstairs, she saw Julie coming out of the bedroom.
“Mom! Aunt Patricia got me a role in the show! And she's also taking me to an exclusive party tomorrow!" Despite being out of breath, Vivian still had the energy to tell her mom the good news.
“I see. Be a Lady. Don't jump and run around the house Like a rascal."
Even though her daughter was filled with excitement, Julie acted as if she had only heard a trivial matter. There was not a trace of joy on her face, and her tone even sounded a Little reproachful.
Obviously not the reaction she was hoping for, Vivian felt Like she was thrown a bucket of cold water and promptly quietened down.
She then carefully walked past Julie and didn't dare prance. Instead, she tiptoed into the piano room and gently closed the door.
"Oh, there you are. Care to join me for a drink?"
As soon as she made it to the Living room, Julie grabbed two glasses and a bottle of wine from the rack of the bar cart and held it up to her bestie.
Patricia smiled and shrugged. "You're too strict with Vivian. Even I felt sorry for her. Can't you be gentle to your own child?"
“I see. Well, I get what you mean.”
After breathing a sigh, Julie poured half a glass of wine for Patricia.
