Chapter: 606
Julie was surprised by her, wondering whether she could be exposed so quickly.
“How do you..."
Before she could say “how do you know", Maria pointed at the bags under her eyes.
“The dark circles under your eyes are obvious.”
Like most beautiful women, Julie had a pair of bright eyes.
However, sleep had eluded her for days, making her eyes lose their brightness and her dark circles more pronounced.
“Yes, I do have something on my mind," Julie sighed.
However, she didn't know whether to inform Maria or not.
Now that Julie had reconciled with her father, she could come clean to him about it. However, she eventually decided otherwise after realizing her father's poor physical health.
“Fine! It's up to you if you don't want to talk about it." Maria seemed to be indifferent.
Julie was roused by what she had said.
"ALL right! I..."
Maria scarcely heard a word Julie uttered before her voice faded away.
“I'm thinking of getting divorced..."
Julie lowered her head as she spoke.
Maria's countenance remained expressionless as if she didn't care about the strained bond between her foster parents.
Anthony Looked at the two women and said nothing.
“What would you say, Maria? Will you try to talk me out of it?" Julie asked expectantly.
Although, she didn't know what she was expecting.
Julie didn't appear to be hoping Maria would convince her to quit. She actually only wanted to hear some comforting words from Maria.
“No, I won't. I have nothing to say about it."
Maria's indifferent attitude piqued Julie's curiosity.
She didn't appear to have any interest in her foster parents. Or perhaps she had already made up her mind that Julie and Bill ought to have had a divorce a long time ago.
Despite the fact that Julie and Bill were living together as a couple, their passion for one another was already waning.
