Chapter: 616
“It doesn't matter!" Cory patted his thigh and enthusiastically agreed.
He gingerly led Jessica into the bedroom so she could check on
Lorraine, who was sound sleeping.
However, Cory was soon driven out.
Cory, who was expelled from his wife's bedroom, appeared delighted.
“How's it going, Dad?" Ron asked anxiously.
Cory responded with a giddy grin, "Professor Wilson said it wasn't a big issue. I was ordered to be quiet and wait outside. Hey, Listen, it's not a big deal."
Ron was comforted when he heard that. He also didn't mind if his father was chastised as long as his mother was okay.
The father and son didn't remember Maria until that moment. Their admiration and gratitude for her grew exponentially!
“My dear niece! I genuinely have no idea how to thank you this time!“ In a show of excitement, Cory held Maria's hand.
"I'm happy to help. We are family after all," Maria said expressionlessly.
Her words nonetheless moved Cory!
“That's right! We are all family! We are all family!"
Standing aside for quite some time, Bill and Vivian eventually calmed down.
They were both utterly repulsed.
How Vivian wished she could get the praise!
However, she felt too ashamed to take credit from Maria.
Bill was, after all, a more sly man who had been in business for many years. At the very least, he was brazen than Vivian.
He coughed and smiled forcibly.
“Maria, your relationship with Professor Wilson is excellent. She's Anthony's aunt, right? Now that you're engaged to Anthony, she's also our family, right?"
Bill winked at Maria after saying that.
It implied that he wanted Maria to play matchmaker between him and
Jessica to assist him in getting closer to her.
Maria didn't take her adoptive father's hint, or maybe she just didn't bother to.
