Chapter: 744
His fiancee? Jacqueline couldn't believe her ears.
Her smile instantly froze after hearing Anthony's intimate and warm tone.
She was stunned for a few seconds, processing every detail that Anthony just said.
“Spicy hot pot? I‘m not... with an awkward smile.
I'm not sure what that is." Jacqueline asked
Anthony wanted to scoff but only let out a faint smile. It had been the first time he showed a soft expression since meeting Jacqueline this afternoon.
“Miss Bowles, this is one of the reasons why the Wilson Group stopped further cooperation with your family’s company. You intended to extend your business throughout the whole country, but you don't even know what a spicy hot pot is.”
Then, Anthony pointed out of the glass window. Looking in its direction, Jacqueline saw a small shop across the street, which was about 2@ square meters big.
"Do you see that restaurant? They sell spicy hot pot there."
"That thing? How could any decent people eat something Like that? It's not even—" Jacqueline blurted out. But before she could finish her sentence, she realized that she had been very insensitive.
Anthony just said that the spicy hot pot was his and his fiancee's dinner, but she still went and said those rude remarks.
Now that she knew what a spicy hot pot was, she remembered one time when she passed by a store and saw a large pot of soup with chilli oil boiling, they then put many kinds of food ingredients into the soup which she found really disgusting. In her mind, she wouldn't eat that kind of food ever.
In fact, how could such a crude and unappealing thing be called food? But instead of directly answering Jacqueline's remarks, Anthony took out his mobile phone and searched for something.
After a moment, he showed his phone's screen to Jacqueline.
“Miss Bowles, let me tell you a Little more about it. The store across the street we were talking about, is a 30-year-old restaurant in
Sheffield. It's very popular among the Locals.”
Jacqueline looked at the screen and saw a lot of information. Apparently, many celebrities even ate there, giving five-star praises for the food. There were also various reports done by major media to give it recognition.
Seeing all this, Jacqueline felt like her head started spinning.
Of course, now she understood why Anthony had the guts to say that cutting ties with their company was the right choice.
The Bowles Group had tried and failed to secure its place in the country's catering industry. Perhaps now, the success of this street food restaurant would give her some enlightenment that she needed.
“Anyway, as I said, I should be going now, Miss Bowles.
My fiancee should be hungry by now, craving that spicy hot pot.”
Maria stared at all the food boxes in front of her in shock.
"Oh my goodness! Did you buy off all the food in the restaurant? There's just too much of food. There's no way that we will be able to finish all this food. It will last a whole week!" She was overwhelmed.
