Anthony had kept his promise. He brought home the spicy hot pot to have dinner with her. Of course Maria was very happy.

But as she looked at the table full of food boxes, she wondered if Anthony thought she had a voracious appetite.

“There were so many different types of spicy hot pot dishes at the restaurant. Since I didn't know which one you liked, I bought all," Anthony explained with a sweet smile.

“But... What if we can't finish all this food?" Maria asked in earnest. Anthony pointed at the bodyguard behind him as if that was his solution.

“Don't worry. Jack will take care of the rest. He always does.”

Maria then glanced at the beverages and desserts that Anthony had bought for her. There was honey pomelo tea, watermelon juice, vanilla latte, mango smoothie, tiramisu, and a whole lot more.

“There's far too much. I can't have them all," Maria whispered to Anthony.

“Don't worry. Like I said, Jack will take care of the rest," Anthony replied, still sporting a pleasant smile.

Maria stole a glance at Jack. There was a stiff smirk on his face as if to say even he would struggle to finish so much of food unless he stuffed himself to choking point.

She couldn't help but feel sorry for him. She asked sympathetically, “Perhaps we should think of keeping a dog. What do you think?"

She remembered that when she was on the uninhabited island, Rainbow the wolf was always quite happy finishing her Leftovers.

Fortunately, when they sat to eat, the situation was eased.

Jack didn't have to eat the leftover food. He sat and dined with them. Even so, he still looked deeply pained.

Maria was a picky eater. There was no doubt about that, considering her detailed knowledge of food

When she focused on eating, she deliberately avoided the dishes she disliked.

Anthony was very observant. As soon as he sensed that she didn't like a dish, he took it away and placed it in front of Jack, who clearly got the message.

In this way, Jack was forced to eat a ton of food, whether he Liked it or not.

When Jack saw the mountain of food before him, he felt sorry for his poor stomach.

However, when he thought about the huge salary he would receive, he smiled happily again.

“My business with Jacqueline is over. I won't be seeing her again,” Anthony suddenly said out of the blue.

"Okay. Thank you."

This was the only way in which Maria could respond.

Her thanks were indeed sincere.

“You are as popular as a famous star now,” Anthony hastened to add. Maria was well aware of this.
