Chapter: 772
Leif soon gave the microphones to them.
“I'm so sorry, Mr. Lembeck," Jenifer said.
“I first saw sugar paintings when I was in primary school. At this point, I guess the age gap between me and Mr. Lembeck right now is obvious."
Matthew was utterly speechless.
“I also want to apologize, Mr. Lembeck," Dominic chimed in. "The first time I saw sugar paintings was when I was still in kindergarten.”
“No, it's not your fault. I'm so sorry for not realizing it sooner. You two are much younger than me, after all," Matthew told them. He didn't want to say anything else at that point.
However, the viewers’ comments were surprisingly consistent with what Jenifer and Dominic said.
"I thought all of us experienced sugar painting at some point in kindergarten."
“His memory in high school, he says. Is his high school life so simple that he only remembers sugar paintings?"
"Please don't make fun of Matthew like that."
It wasn't until the cameraman pointed the camera at Jacqueline that the people inside the broadcasting room gradually became quiet.
Leif let out a bitter smile as he looked at the live comments. Obviously the audience wasn't crazy about Jacqueline, but he couldn't get himself to say anything because she was the sponsor.
Jacqueline took the microphone and smiled.
“I actually grew up abroad. Even though I come back home every so often, I have never seen sugar paintings. I don't have any experience, so maybe I'll Lose in the competition later. Fortunately, though, I studied arts at Zurich University of Arts, so maybe I can make up for my shortcomings?"
“But you've never eaten even a single sugar painting in your life," one of the viewers commented.
“Hello, everyone," another viewer commented.
“Even though she said she studied in an art school, she didn't state that she has a degree. Guess you all know what that’s supposed to mean.”
“What a shame to both her and the university!"
“It's already the 21st century, but I can't believe Miss Bowles still wants to flaunt herself in this way. It's no wonder I've never heard of the Bowles Group."
At that point, Maria finally took the microphone. She went quiet for a few seconds before she coldly stated, “I don't want to Lie to you guys; but I do know how to do sugar paintings."
As soon as she finished speaking, everyone's attention was on her. They were instantly drawn to her words.
Even though what she said was relatively simple, it induced excitement from the viewers. Especially since it was relatively obvious that the other four contestants didn't know how to make sugar paintings.
Jacqueline clenched her jaw upon noticing that everyone's attention was on Maria. Jacqueline couldn't believe Maria actually knew how to do sugar paintings. She thought Maria probably just wanted to fool the viewers and gain more attention. What a cunning bitch
Just then, the comment section was flooded with a new wave of live comments.
