"Sophie told me not to let you use the hibernation pod more than ten times a month. She's afraid that if your body is frozen too frequently, you might not be able to adapt to the normal Living environment and temperature," Anthony said.

Hearing those words, Maria's eyes widened in curiosity.

“Sophie... called you?"

From what Maria knew, Sophie was the kind of woman who would only communicate with her directly.

It didn't make sense that she would relay any information to Anthony, especially when it came to the hibernation pod.

Looking at the puzzled expression on Maria's face, Anthony said indifferently, “We put my name as your first emergency contact when filling out the form for the hibernation pod. Have you forgotten?”

“Oh, yeah."

Even as Maria said those words, she still felt that something was strange. Was that really why Sophie had talked to Anthony instead of her?

Maria then remembered that.

The user information form had been filled out when she got the hibernation pod, which included listing emergency contacts. The emergency contact part was essential; it was, after all, a medical technology product that put the user in a state of hibernation.

As Maria filled out the form, she could think of only one possible candidate for her first emergency contact - Anthony.
