Chapter: 804
After all, between filming Island Survival and Taste of Childhood, Maria had yet to make good use of the new hibernation pod that had been installed in Anthony's house.
"You don't follow the doctor's instructions. Are you afraid of Living too long?"
Those were the chiding words that came from Anthony's mouth.
Looking at his sharp eyes narrowed in anger, Maria chose to obediently go and sleep in the hibernation pod.
It seemed that during her absence, the hibernation pod had been upgraded.
Now, it could be used to hibernate for twenty-four hours straight with a gap of just eight hours in between.
Being able to have Longer hibernation times and shorter gaps in between was great news for both Mathias and Maria. However, there was something Maria couldn't figure out.
Even though she was not an expert in the field of technique of hibernation, she knew that there could be no breakthrough in scientific research without a lot of experimentation.
And of course, the foundation of any experiment was money.
Although Maria had tried her best to make money, her income was still nowhere near enough to fund the number of experiments that the research institute must have done to achieve such a breakthrough in such a short time.
But when Maria asked Sophie how she had managed to get so much money for the research, all she received was an unfathomable response--
"You know how much I love money. Did you think I'd only be getting it from you?"
Maria tried to ask Sophie more questions, but the Latter kept her lips sealed.
Therefore, while the public was rallying to Maria's support, Maria was lost in an almost endless slumber.
Every time she woke up, the first thing on her mind was to find out where Anthony was.
If he was not at home, she could take the chance to sneak out.
She wanted to listen to Judy sing, or play Wasteland with Darren, or discuss the art of sculpture with Vincent.
Even a prisoner would need freedom within the prison.
Unfortunately, Anthony, who was supposed to be busy with running a company, would be waiting outside the hibernation pod without fail.
Every time Maria opened her eyes, the first thing she would see past the transparent walls of the hibernation pod was Anthony standing there, as if he had nothing to do but watch her all the time.
“Aren't you bored staying at home every day?" Maria asked gloomily one day.
“No. I go out while you're sleeping," Anthony answered with a faint smile on his face.
“But I'm bored! I want to go out for a walk."
“Sure. It's been a long time since Aunt Jessica has examined your condition. Let's go and see her."
