Chapter: 81
No!
Anthony was just a random man to her. She had never been engaged to anyone. As far as the fans and media knew, she had never been in a relationship with anyone!
“No, thanks. I have something else to do. Goodbye.”
After mumbling that in a hurry, Vivian raced away as if she was afraid to be even seen with Maria.
Maria shrugged, returned to Suite 3601, and set the plate down in front of Anthony.
“I didn't know what you Like to eat, so I just randomly picked some dishes." Maria's voice was soft, but it was hard to pinpoint whether it was indifferent or gentle.
In Jack's eyes, her voice was soft and pleasing, which went well with his boss's deep and mellow voice.
“Thank you," Anthony said politely, and then the two of them began to eat.
For the next few minutes, the presidential suite was completely quiet except for the occasional sound of knives and forks scraping against the plates.
Standing aside, Jack watched the couple having dinner in muted wonder.
He felt like he was looking at an oil painting that had come to life, bringing an inexplicable sense of peace to his mind.
Even he was shocked that a mundane sight like two people eating together could evoke such an emotion in him.
After all, he was the kind of man who wouldn't set foot in a gallery even if someone paid him to. He couldn't believe he was actually admiring the silent scene.
Anthony and Maria finished dinner just as the banquet was about to begin.
“Let's go," Anthony said, wiping his mouth with a napkin.
“Okay.”
Maria stood up and walked over to the back of his wheelchair. Holding the handles, she pushed him out of the suite and towards the banquet hall.
Still rooted to his spot, Jack once again felt the whole thing bizarre.
While other guests were all busy socializing with one another, Anthony and Maria actually had a lovely dinner!
“Seems Like only Mr. Wilson and Miss Jenkins respected the hard work of the hotel chef tonight," Jack muttered to himself.
At this time, Vivian was standing in another side of the banquet hall, starting to feel nervous.
The banquet was officially underway. There was a piano solo performance on the stage now. Once that was finished, it would be her turn to sing.
A few of the guests were looking at the stage and enjoying the music, but most of them were busy making new friends.
Vivian glanced around and, to her delight, found Lyndsey standing not far away. She could barely conceal her excitement as she waved at her.
Unfortunately, Lyndsey didn't seem to notice her at all.
