Chapter: 851
Right then and then, he commanded the workers, “Remove the statue. Make it fast! No one is allowed to mention anything about the statue ever again. Anyone who disobeys me will get fired! Understand?"
The workers were startled by the sudden command. Raymond was the one causing trouble. Why should they get punished? But what else could they do but follow their employer's instructions?
In the end, they had to remove the bronze statue that had just been assembled.
Ever since Raymond gained temporary control of the family, he had relished the perks that came along with it. At the same time, he was trying to urge Michael to officially appoint him as the new head of the Wilson family.
Therefore, every chance he got, Raymond tried to flatter Michael.
“Let's go," Anthony whispered.
"Okay."
While Raymond was busy dismantling the bronze statue, Maria pushed Anthony's wheelchair and left.
There was a huge difference between the mansions of the Wilson family and the Smith family, despite both being powerful, noble clans. The Smith family's mansion was ancient and classical, whereas the Wilson family's manor was more like a Luxury resort.
While pushing the wheelchair, Maria took her time to appreciate the beauty of the Wilson family's manor. She was too preoccupied that she didn't realize they were already in front of Michael's residence.
The two-storey building was peaceful and lovely. Although it was just a two-storey building, there was an elevator for
Michael.
They took the elevator to the upper floor, and entered Michael's bedroom where they found him resting on the bed. The old man with glasses was busy reading a book. Maria recognized the book by its cover instantly. Curt Willows wrote it over a decade ago. The book was titled Green Stones.
The depth of thought in the articles were impressive. Maria thought it was Curt's best work, but only a few could understand it.
“Grandpa, I brought Maria to see you. How are you doing recently?" Anthony stood up from the wheelchair as soon as they entered the room.
As he spoke, he walked to the bedside table and double-checked the water and medicine. He then turned to Look at the old man in bed.
With a smile, Michael acknowledged their presence. "I'm doing great. Go back in the wheelchair. Don't let anyone catch you. You did a great job. Raymond was getting anxious. He even managed to get the Bowles back this time."
Anthony also smiled and said, "Uncle Raymond has made a meritorious contribution unconsciously. In the future, he will get a lighter punishment."
When he heard this, Michael shook his head and stated, “Despite everything, he started at the wrong place. Any achievement that was unintentionally achieved is disregarded. He should still be harshly punished."
Then he turned to Look at Maria.
“Just pretend you didn't hear anything from us, do you understand?" The old man looked at Maria warily.
He had no clue why Anthony had brought Maria to meet him. Did he really trust her that much?
"Okay," Maria replied indifferently.
The old man did not appear to care about Maria anymore. He turned to Anthony and asked, “Have you found the person who saved our Lives?"
