Chapter: 91
“But acting isn't something I am really good at," Maria replied in a soft tone.

Francis nodded his head slightly. "I figured you'd say that. How about I invite you to another position? You could be the chief scriptwriter, the supervisor, the assistant director, or the art director. Choose the most convenient one for you."

Obviously, he was being generous. These posts were either second to that of the chief director or they were even on an equal footing with it. If Maria took any of them, she would be able to weaken Francis' voice.

But he didn't care about that. All he wanted was for her to join the crew.

Maria was silent and hesitant. This made Francis quite anxious.

He suspected that she just didn't feel his sincerity. As a result, he decided to put in some more effort to persuade her.

“How about you being the chief director while I become the executive director? That way, I can assist you."

Just when Maria made up her mind, his words came to her as a complete shock.

Did he say 'the chief director'?

Immediately after that, she shook her head and gave him an emphatic reply.

“No! That won't be necessary.”

There were a lot of things waiting for her to deal with in Sheffield.

She couldn't afford to be distracted from her own affairs in order to spend so much time as a member of a crew.

As the author of the Legend of Anne, it wasn't out of place for her to take a sinecure in the crew and occasionally answer the main staff's questions about the script.

Maria remembered that there was a vacant but important position in the crew that was enough to meet her needs.

“You know what, Mr. Jackson? I just want to be a script supervisor." She looked at him.

Francis was stunned. He almost thought he had misheard.

"Script supervisor?" His repeated after her in confusion.

This was because the script supervisor was the assistant of the chief director.

The more capable a director was, the less help he needed from the script supervisor.
