Chapter: 960
The man narrowed his eyes. "Has someone stolen the music score without you noticing?"
Sarah sucked in a breath when she heard this. It was just the lifeline she needed!
Stolen?
Yes!
The music sheet must have been stolen, one way or another!
This had to be the truth!
Without warning, she snatched the microphone away from the man.
“Mr. Phillips, a few days ago, an audition for ‘Female Military Counsellor’ was held. One of the participants played this very same version of ‘Ambush on ALL Sides'. She must have been the thief who copied the complete melody and played it in public without your permission!"
The words came out of Sarah's mouth in rapid succession. She was out of breath by the time she finished speaking.
Her heart was hammering inside her chest. She was both nervous and excited for Felice's response.
This was a huge crime!
If Maria had tampered with the original melody, it would have simply been a moral indiscretion with no tangible consequence.
But if she had stolen Felice's music score, she would definitely be convicted of theft.
And once she was branded as a criminal, no matter how talented she was, she would be kicked out of the entertainment industry forever!
Maria would never become the heroine of the movie Female Military Counsellor.
Sarah almost squealed in delight at the thought. She was practically smiling from ear to ear.
“What is the name of this person you speak of Up on the stage, Felice looked calm, and didn't press for any more information.
"It's Maria!" Sarah all but yelled. "Her name is Maria Jenkins!" Hearing this, Felice finally pieced two and two together and understood what had happened.
“It's all right, then," he said lightly.
“If it was Maria, then there is no problem at all. The score for the complete version of this ancient melody was entrusted to her by me.
She had worked on the interpretation and revision all by herself for a while now."
Maria had been working on the score of this song?
This undeniable truth would go unacknowledged if not confirmed by Felice himself.
But Felice was vouching for Maria, which meant it was true. It was a proven fact that could not be disputed.
