Chapter: 1894
“Sabrina is pregnant," Alice repeated. “Actually, she and Tyrone have reconciled. That's the reason they've been Living separately. Sabrina hasn't been well. It was a struggle for her to conceive. They pretended to split up because they were worried you might harm her if you found out they're still together.”
Noticing Keilani's dazed look, Alice went on, "I had someone look into it. Just the other day, Tyrone was with Sabrina at the hospital for a prenatal appointment. They've kept it under wraps pretty well. Clearly, this baby means the world to them. How could Tyrone be with you then? He doesn't love you. I'm concerned that once Sabrina's baby arrives, he'll forget all about Jennie."
Keilani realized she could no longer use Jennie to bridge a connection to Tyrone, especially not after Sabrina's baby was born.
Determined, she vowed to prevent Sabrina's baby from coming into the world!
Keilani looked off into the distance, lost in thought. “No... She couldn't give birth to the baby! Alice, I need your help." She gripped Alice's hand firmly, her voice full of urgency.
Alice seemed to look out for Keilani. "Keilani, why are you so fixated on Tyrone? There are plenty of other decent guys out there."
"I'm trapped. Tyrone is the only one I want. You have to help me,"
Keilani demanded.
The doctored results said Jennie was Keilani's daughter. If Keilani backed down now, people would forever talk about how she had a child out of wedlock. Once she got back to Philade, Bella and the others would never let her live it down, taunting her without mercy.
Yet, Keilani bitterly knew revealing the truth meant Tyrone would never let her off the hook. With her family's protection, Tyrone might not be able to do anything to her. But her dad, uncle, and brother would be deeply disappointed. Worse, chances were that her father would push her into a marriage, wanting her husband to rein her in.
"If that's what you want, I'm with you. But first, we need to ensure Sabrina's baby isn't born. Got it?" Alice looked deeply into Keilani's eyes, her tone serious.
“I know. I know." Keilani's eyes gleamed with sinister thoughts.
"I'll find someone to take care of her baby right away."
Alice chimed in, "Hold on, Keilani. I've heard Tyrone has placed two bodyguards around Sabrina. It's not easy for just anyone to approach her. If we mess this up, we might not get another shot. We need to think this through."
“So, what's your plan?" After learning about the day's events and that Sabrina was expecting, Keilani felt overwhelmed.
Alice paused, seemingly deep in thought. Finally, she suggested, "Sabrina is close to Bettie. Since reaching Sabrina directly is tough, maybe we could approach her through Bettie."
"Are you suggesting..."
Alice leaned in and shared her well-devised plan with Keilani.
"What a good plan! Alice, you're brilliant. Thanks for your help. I'll set everything up tomorrow!" Keilani exclaimed.
With the promise of a hefty reward, many were ready to take the risk.
Keilani got in touch with three toughs with a history of run-ins with the law, willing to do anything for money. Their leader went by the name Kody.
Just after Keilani's call, Kody's phone rang again, this time from an unknown number.
A calm woman's voice asked, "Did you just get a call? I'll add two hundred thousand to your fee. Go ahead with the job, but there's one more thing I need..."
