Chapter: 1952
“Auntie, are you going to ditch me because of this?" Sierra's eyes held a mix of loneliness and hope.
With Nicol's poor health and big age gap, he couldn't stand up to Blayze, especially without family backup.
Sabrina was Nicol's half sister. If Rita had different plans for the Fowlers, she could accept Sabrina, smoothing things over with Tyrone, and team up with him against Blayze for more benefits for herself and Nicol.
But Sierra hated Sabrina, wrongly blaming everything on her. So, Sierra laid it out there.
Rita gently held Sierra's hand, reassuring her, "No way. I wouldn't do that."
Even if Rita wanted to, Sabrina's distant demeanor wouldn't allow it.
"Auntie, you're the best."
"But anyway, how does this connect to your parents’ passing?" Rita redirected the talk.
"I just found out about that. Guess who Tyrone's biological mom is?"
Given that Tyrone's biological father was Horace, he wasn't actually the child of Elijah but had grown up with the Blakely family, so..
"It's Tyrone's so-called aunt, Kira."
A moment of realization struck Rita and now her voice was filled with certainty.
Before, there were no dealings between the Fowlers and the Blakelys.
Rita only knew Tyrone's aunt, Kira, who lived abroad for ages, and initially, Jennie stayed with Kira.
"Kira had hooked up with Horace, tied to Blayze's mom's death."
Sierra quickly sketched out the feud between Kira and Horace, getting more fired up. "Since Analia died, the Fowlers and Blakelys cut ties. Kira got shipped overseas, and Tyrone got registered under his uncle's name. Both families kept it hush-hush. If I hadn't overheard Horace and Blayze, I'd never know. And it all links back to my parents’ crash."
“Connected to Kira?"
"Yep. Kira's a tough cookie and didn't want to leave. She hoped Horace would bring her back. But then, he met you. Not taking it well, she tried to off you with a hit, making it look like a car accident but things went haywire."
Tears welled up in Sierra's eyes as she continued, “Auntie, you know how well my parents treated you. It was Kira after you, yet they took the hit for you. You have to get justice for them. They can't have died for nothing!"
Rita's hands slowly balled into fists. "I get it. Let me mull it over." If Kira had the guts to harm her, unwittingly taking out her own brother and his wife, she wouldn't let it slide!
