Chapter: 2009
"Not long. No more than half an hour."
"Alright."
Jennie went with Kaleb to the office.
When Kaleb arrived, the secretary breathed a sigh of relief, like she'd just been saved. "Mr. Wilson, thank goodness you're here. The magazine team has been waiting for a while now."
Sabrina and the others had been there for over half an hour. They'd set up and checked the cameras multiple times, the reporter had run through the interview script endlessly, and the recording pen had been tested over and over.
White had asked the secretary twice and she kept saying something about an inspection, carefully avoiding mentioning that Kaleb was having fun with his granddaughter.
As Kaleb walked into his office, he said, "Send them in. I've got half an hour. Take Jennie to the lounge, give her some snacks, and an iPad to keep her busy."
“Okay.”
Jennie went with Avril to the lounge while the secretary headed to the reception room to address Sabrina and the others, "Mr. Wilson is back from his inspection. Please, follow me."
The group walked behind her to Kaleb's office.
The secretary specially noted Kaleb only got half an hour available, emphasizing the need to make it quick.
"Got it," White replied. "By the way, after the interview, could I invite Mr. Wilson to lunch?"
"Sorry, he's got other plans."
“Too bad."
Inside the office, Kaleb sat in a single-seat sofa. He'd changed into a crisp new shirt and a suit jacket but was wearing casual pants.
When he saw the secretary bring in the interview team, he cut off White's small talk and said firmly, "Let's get started right away."
The reporter didn't waste any time, quickly settling into the sofa next to Kaleb and kicking off the interview. “Good morning, Mr. Wilson. I'm reporter Paul. Let's dive into the first question..."
Sabrina was the last to enter the office. Seeing that the interview was already underway, she adjusted her camera to snap some photos of Kaleb.
After taking a couple of shots, she noticed that Kaleb's casual pants looked out of place with his suit jacket. If he was in full casual attire, it would be fine, but the mix of suit and casual pants didn't work. She'd have to focus on upper-body shots.
Sabrina adjusted her position and framing to capture the best angles.
