Chapter: 2010
White was happy with Sabrina's performance during the session.

Kaleb, on the other hand, just wanted to get the interview over with so he could spend time with his granddaughter. He answered the questions diligently, not even paying attention to whom the photographer was.

It wasn't until the reporter asked him a tricky question that he turned his head to think and caught a glimpse of Sabrina. He paused for a second, shocked. What was she doing here? Oh, so she was the photographer.

Then, Kaleb frowned. With Jennie also in the office, running into Sabrina could be a distraction. They had just two weeks together, and Kaleb cherished every moment of it. The more time he spent with Jennie, the harder it was to imagine their parting.

The reporter, noticing Kaleb's lapse in focus, said, “Looks like this question is a bit tricky. Should we move on?"

"No need." Kaleb snapped back to attention and smoothly answered the previous question.

Once the interview wrapped up, Kaleb quickly dismissed them. “Alright, that's it. I've got other things to do."

White, who'd hoped to chat a bit, was left stunned. He wondered whether he had somehow offended Kaleb, leading the latter to seemingly dodge him.

Sabrina was the first to bolt out of Kaleb's office, relieved to be done.

Just then, she heard a young girl's voice, full of excitement.

“Sabrina, what are you doing here?" Kaleb sighed, speechless.

Sabrina immediately recognized the owner of the innocent voice as Jennie. She looked down to see a petite girl sprinting toward her.

As Jennie neared, Sabrina enthusiastically waved her camera. "Jennie, you're here too! I'm here for work."

Jennie's face brightened. “Oh, have you finished work? Sabrina, can we go out and have some fun?"

Kaleb, previously silent, coughed and stepped out of his office, giving Sabrina a stern look. "Jennie, Ms. Chavez is still busy. Please, don't disturb her."

Kaleb felt the more Jennie sought out Sabrina's company, the more distant Jennie seemed to grow from Keilani, something he would manage to address. Should Sabrina be sensible, she would know exactly what to do next.

Jennie pouted, batting her eyelashes sadly at Sabrina.

Vulnerable to Jennie's charm, Sabrina glanced up and reassured Kaleb, “Actually, I've wrapped up my work for the day. Jennie won't be any trouble."

A grin spread across Jennie's face as she exclaimed, "Yay! Grandpa, make sure you have a great day at work. I'm off to have fun with Sabrina!"

Kaleb, visibly annoyed, shot Sabrina a glaring look. He found her incredibly irritating!
