Chapter: 2019
After exchanging a few more words, they ended the call.
Jennie looked up at Kaleb with her wide, dark eyes. “Grandpa, I want to visit Sabrina."
Kaleb couldn't bring herself to refuse. "Okay."
Sabrina had indeed been in a car incident, but it was not serious.
She was accompanied by two bodyguards arranged by Tyrone on her way home.
One of them, Brenton, was an experienced driver.
During their drive, a minibus lost control. Reacting swiftly, Brenton braked and steered to the right, causing their car to crash into an electric pole. This maneuver avoided the minibus and minimized the damage.
Sabrina, who was in the backseat and wearing her seatbelt, was shaken but not seriously injured. However, the sudden stop caused her phone to fall beneath the seat.
After ensuring they were both okay, Sabrina and Brenton exited the vehicle and called the police.
During a red light when traffic was light, Brenton retrieved Sabrina's phone and her Luggage from the car. He instructed the other bodyguard to take Sabrina to the hospital while he waited for the traffic police.
At the hospital, Sabrina received treatment for several bruises. When the medical staff learned of her pregnancy and previous miscarriage, they recommended she stay overnight for observation.
Sabrina then completed the hospital admission process and canceled her flight. She gave Jennie her room number.
Shortly after, Jennie and Kaleb arrived at the hospital.
Relieved to see Sabrina was alright, Kaleb momentarily wondered if Sabrina had staged the incident.
Just then, Allen called Kaleb to report.
Kaleb answered the phone in the hallway and scolded Allen, "You're too slow. I'm already aware of the situation!"
Already in a foul mood, Allen's lack of swift report further upset Kaleb.
"Sir, have you heard about the chain reaction caused by the minibus?"
Allen asked.
"Yes."
