Chapter: 2090
“If she submits her resume to the Blakely Group after graduation, they will prioritize her application."

"Oh... Shirley is so impressive," Marnie said with envy in her eyes.

"My uncle is so good to her. He always worked hard to pay for her schooling. Unlike me, I had to drop out of middle school to work. I used to see her going to school and felt envious."

Sergio stayed silent as he observed Rogelio closely.

Marnie felt uneasy. “What are you staring at?"

“Do you think Rogelio resembles me or you more?"

Marnie shrugged. "Rogelio is too young. I can't tell who he looks Like."

"I think he looks more like me," Sergio said.

Marnie shifted the subject. She blushed and looked at him with tear- filled eyes. "By the way, Rogelio is a month old. Why don't you move back in?"

When Marnie and Sergio had first started dating, they had not been very close, and the most intimate thing they had done was to hold hands. What followed was the so-called pregnancy. They hadn't been intimate since then.

After Marnie had had the baby, Sergio moved to the guest room so the maternity matron, Chloe Boyd, could easily care for her and Rogelio.

Marnie felt she had to take action. If they actually had sex, there might be some wiggle room when the truth came out.

Sergio replied calmly, "I'll wait a bit longer. It's still too soon.”

Marnie hastily said, "I think I've recovered well."

“Everyone thinks that way. We should trust Chloe."

Chloe was the maternity matron.

Marnie kept silent after that.

That night, Sergio continued to sleep in the guest room.

Marnie remained concerned. Being Sergio's wife in the public's eyes naturally attracted some to curry favor with her, so she easily got the drug.

Sergio was swamped with work. After dinner, he often worked late in the study. During this time, the maid would bring him a cup of coffee.
