Chapter: 2100
Entering Keilani's room, Alice found Keilani sitting on the balcony sofa, staring blankly at the blue sky through the large glass window.

“Keilani, I'm here," Alice announced, watching Keilani closely for any sign of reaction.

Alice wanted to gauge whether Keilani was genuinely afraid or just putting on an act. Considering the relatively comfortable conditions in the detention center, Keilani shouldn't have looked so terrified.

“Have a seat." With a poker face and unwavering gaze, Keilani weakly motioned toward the nearby sofa. “Did you come here for something? If not, you might as well leave."

“Well, actually, there's something I need to tell you."

“hat is it?"

“Lance and Bettie got hitched. They tied the knot in Mathias."

“What? What did you just say?" Abruptly, Keilani turned her head around to look at Alice.

Alice smiled as she studied Keilani's expression and asked, "Are you done pretending?"

Keilani snorted and turned away, saying, "I don't know what you're talking about!"

Alice didn't buy it and asserted, “I know you, Keilani. You must hate Lance's guts now, don't you?"

Keilani had always acted selfishly and cruelly. How could she ever introspect? Never in this lifetime. She always blamed others, felt wronged, and sought revenge.

Alice had seen through it. Keilani only pretended to be obedient around Zandra and Kaleb to turn them against Lance.

"What? Are you going to rat me out to him?" Keilani finally stopped denying it and gave Alice a cold stare.

Alice figured if she nodded or tried to sway Keilani in Lance's favor, Keilani would handle her.

"How could it be?" Alice said coldly.

If that was all, Alice would try to talk Keilani into making peace.

But Lance had married Bettie, ending any chance for Alice to be his wife. So why ask for trouble?

Alice felt it was Lance's loss for not picking her over Bettie. She vowed to make him pay and show him that missing her was his biggest regret.

"You're sharp," Keilani said, her eyes full of unmistakable hatred.
