Chapter: 2109
“Well, I guess I have to thank God for my good looks."
"But I have to thank you. If you hadn't come into my life by chance, I might have stayed down for a long time, messing up my studies and college entrance exams. I might not have gotten into Juno University."
Tyrone was quiet for a moment. “Did you apply to the Business School at Juno University because of me?"
Tyrone was stunned. Sabrina had liked him earlier than he thought.
Tyrone sifted through his hazy memories of their shared time from the younger years, speculating that Sabrina might have harbored feelings for him during their freshman or sophomore years. But now it appeared she had liked him since high school, perhaps not long after arriving at the Blakely family.
Tyrone couldn't quite recall Sabrina's appearance from back then. A few blurry images came to mind. When they met at the Blakely house, he would inquire about her grades in a brotherly manner, and the rest were casual interactions. Sabrina seemed polite and reserved, showing no hint of affection toward him.
It wasn't until the end of summer vacation that Tyrone found out from his grandfather that Sabrina had been accepted into Juno University's Business School and was his junior. His grandfather had advised Sabrina to approach Tyrone if she needed help and told Tyrone to mentor her when he could. They had both agreed with nods.
However, Sabrina had never sought Tyrone's assistance, and Tyrone had never reached out to her. When they had bumped into each other on campus, they simply exchanged brief greetings.
Sabrina pursed her lips, hesitant to admit it but nodded nonetheless.
"Kind of."
“Did you join the Blakely Group because of me?"
“Sort of. And because of your grandpa's expectations too."
“You kept it well hidden. I never picked up on any of it." Tyrone smiled. "Sabrina, no wonder some directors wanted to cast you in a movie."
"At that time, we already had a lukewarm relationship. If I showed any emotions, you'd probably have pulled away even more," Sabrina said, glancing at Tyrone and raising an eyebrow. “I cried once after you scolded me not long after I started at the company. Did you think I'd dare to show my feelings?"
Tyrone's expression stiffened. "Did 1?"
Tyrone had no recollection whatsoever. He questioned if he had truly been that severe.
"Yes!" Sabrina responded firmly.
"I wasn't singling you out. I was just..."
"At that time, I had a disagreement with Evelyn. She provoked me first, yet you insisted that I apologize to her." Sabrina snorted.
"And this was after we got married!"
