Chapter: 1035
Her coworker knew how distressful the night had been for Aurora, so she did not persuade her to stay.

“Alright. Message me when you get home."

Aurora nodded. Then, she walked out of the restroom absentmindedly.

Because her mind was wandering, she did not notice that someone was walking in her direction, and she ended up bumping into that person.

When Breck stepped out of the elevator, he caught sight of Aurora, who was walking to the exit in a daze. Her face looked a touch pale, and the hair that escaped her low ponytail was wet.

In addition, her expression was one of mild dismay.

She was Claudia's friend, so Breck would hate it if something terrible were to happen to Aurora.

He asked his secretary to leave first before he approached the woman.

He was about to ask her what was wrong when she went straight to him and bumped into him, having not noticed him at all.

"I'm sorry."

Breck expected Aurora to greet him, so he was surprised when she walked past him after apologizing to him.

He huffed in disbelief, feeling slightly offended.

“How could you ignore my handsome face, Aurora?"

Aurora's first reaction when someone grabbed her wrist was to snarl at that person, but then she heard Breck's familiar voice.

Immediately, she raised her head.

She looked visibly taken aback as she took in the man's appearance.

“Why are you here?"

Breck tutted lightheartedly.

“What's with that question? Are you the only one who can come to this place?"

“That's not what I mean. Don't get me wrong," Aurora quickly said, realizing her words indeed sounded rude.

She rubbed her face and stated in a muffled voice, "I'm a bit drunk right now."

As soon as Aurora had finished her sentence, Breck inched his face closer to hers.

"I can see that. You've been crying, too," Breck remarked as he stared at her.

Aurora was perplexed after hearing that. When his words finally registered with her, irritation flashed in her eyes. She reached out a hand and grabbed Breck by his collar.
