Chapter: 1182
Eventually, she forgot about her embarrassment because of her hunger.

In addition, with Bennett out of the house, Claudia was able to calm down.

She sat on the bed for a moment, contemplating something, before she went to wash her face and brush her teeth.

Claudia arrived on the first floor. The house was quiet, and the only audible activity came from distant clattering in the kitchen, where Marcia generally stayed.

She passed by the dining room and made her way to the kitchen.

Marcia, who had been peeling potatoes, immediately got to her feet upon seeing Claudia. “Hello, Mrs. Dreskin. Are you hungry?"

Claudia nodded shyly. "A little. Is there any breakfast?"

It was already ten o'clock in the morning. So, she would be surprised if Marcia had not left her any breakfast. Usually, though, the maid would store some breakfast for her.

“Of course! Please have a seat. I'll go and get you the breakfast right away."

"Thank you, Marcia."

Upon finishing her breakfast, Claudia made her way to the piano room.

She sat down at the piano with the intention of playing but instead found herself reflecting on the events of the previous evening. Her cheeks colored, and suddenly, she was too flustered to do anything.

Claudia flinched a little when the phone next to her suddenly vibrated. She grabbed it and learned that Bennett had sent her a message. She bit her lower lip and viewed it.

"Are you awake now?" Bennett asked.

Still feeling embarrassed, Claudia replied, "Yes. I've just had breakfast."

Bennett must not be that busy at the moment because his response arrived shortly. “Are you in pain right now?"

Claudia's hand shook, and her phone landed with a thud on the piano.

How was she supposed to answer that?

She did not know how to respond, so she pretended not to receive the message. "I have to practice the piano now!"

After sending the message, she tossed the phone onto the sofa and refused to look at it again.

Claudia tried to calm down, but to no avail. She got up from her seat after a while, returned to her room, and changed into a different outfit.

Then, she made a break for the first floor as quickly as she could.

Since there were not enough ingredients in the kitchen, Marcia went online and purchased some more. As soon as they were delivered, she brought them inside. She had just entered the living room when she saw Claudia running down the stairs. "Is there something wrong, Mrs. Dreskin?"

Claudia turned to Marcia and said, "Marcia, you don't need to prepare dinner tonight. I plan to have dinner at my father's place."
