Chapter: 1200
“Yes, after wrapping up a major project," Aurora responded, a hint of anxiety behind her glance.

Impressed, Claudia acknowledged, "That must have been a significant project. Eating here isn't cheap; it's around four to five hundred per person. Your team leader really spent a lot."

"He was just generous once."

Aurora held back from mentioning her recent visit with Breck, how the place had left a good impression, prompting her to look up its location for a possible return with Claudia.

It was her habit. She would remember the tasty dishes and exciting experiences she had encountered, eager to share them with Claudia the next time they met.

Of course, Claudia was the same. Their friendship was built on mutual care and consideration, making it impossible for just one of them to be kind to the other.

Without thinking too much, Claudia smiled and responded, “Well, that's nice."

Afraid of revealing too much if the questions persisted, Aurora quickly steered the conversation elsewhere.

Their chatter continued as they approached the restaurant's entrance.

Stepping inside, Claudia instantly understood the choice of the unconventional location away from the city center.

Given the restaurant's steep average check of four to five hundred dollars, the decor was naturally upscale.

The restaurant was created by merging three originally connected houses. It spanned over twenty meters in width, and the interconnected gardens added to its charm. Some walls had been left intact, creating picturesque views of the countryside. As soon as they stepped inside, they saw many people taking photos and admiring the unique setting.

Having reserved ahead, Aurora led the way, with Claudia, who wasn't one for taking pictures, admiring the garden's aesthetic beauty as they proceeded inside.

Since it was just the two of them, Aurora had opted for a window-side table instead of a private room.

A waiter escorted them there. Just as Claudia was about to settle into her chair, a familiar figure caught her eye.

She chose not to greet him. Instead, she picked up a glass of water, lowered her head, and took a sip.

However, the man had spotted her and approached, tapping on the table before her.

"Claudia."

Hearing this, Aurora also looked up. When she saw the person, she was curious but didn't say anything.

Claudia lifted her gaze to meet Xavier's, acknowledging him with, "Hi."

"Are you here for lunch with your friend?"

Simply nodding in response, Claudia watched as Xavier looked at her and said, “I must be going now."

With that, he turned and made his way to the staircase.

Once he was out of sight, Aurora couldn't help but ask, “How do you know Xavier?"
