Chapter: 1219
Xavier glanced past Felicity towards Claudia, who sat at a table several meters behind her.

At first, she seemed to be smiling, but then her expression changed, and she nearly looked as if she were sad.

Hannah became annoyed by his response. "You're already thirty. How long do you intend to stay single? If you don't get married, your father will be angry!"

Xavier sneered, “It's okay if you want me to get married, but I have to make my own choice."

Felicity sighed. "You're not still interested in that woman, are you?"

It was the first time Hannah had heard that he was interested in a woman. "What woman?" she asked in confusion.

She had grown accustomed to Xavier's playboy reputation, so she paid little attention to the women who appeared by his side. After all, he never brought any of them home.

She connected her daughter's words with what Xavier had just said about "making his own choice" and suddenly became more attentive.

"You have a new girlfriend?"

As far as she knew, Xavier hadn't had any girlfriends for the past six months.

Felicity pursed her lips and retorted, “She isn't his girlfriend, but a scheming woman!"

"Felicity!" Xavier pressed his lips together and glanced down.

Hannah gave Felicity a stern look and cautioned, “Watch what you say!"

Then her expression softened, and she shifted her attention back to Xavier. "Which family is she from? I'd like to see her."

"I'm sorry, Mom, but I don't think she's interested in me, so there's no need to inquire about her."

Xavier was reluctant to reveal anything about her.

She glanced at Felicity and didn't push the topic further.

Once they finished dinner, Xavier left to pay the bill.

With the two women alone, Hannah leaned in and asked Felicity, "Do you know this woman who your brother Likes?”

Felicity furrowed her brows. “I've met her several times before. But like I told you last time, she's not a good person, Mom."

Her expression turned grim when she heard what her daughter had to say. "In that case, this woman must be skilled in manipulation."

"Yes, that's right. Xavier is known for being a playboy, and no woman has been able to hold his interest. However, he seems to be smitten with this one. It's like she has bewitched him! Although they haven't been intimate yet, he's already defended her several times.

You can't let this woman marry into our family. I'm worried that if they become a couple, she'll have too much influence over him, and he won't listen to anyone else."

Hannah nodded, considering her daughter's words. While biased, Felicity's point about the woman potentially influencing Xavier held some merit.
