Chapter: 1221
Liam was seated across from him, turning red and seething while clenching his fists under the table. His gaze towards Lucille was icy and resentful.

Claudia had driven to the restaurant, and since Lucille had come there for a performance, she didn't have her car.

Her car was parked conveniently outside the restaurant rather than in the underground parking lot.

As they exited the establishment, Claudia unlocked her Maserati convertible using her fob, and they both got in.

Felicity gazed out the car window when a passing blue Maserati caught her attention. A sense of familiarity washed over her, prompting her to steal a few more glances at the vehicle. When she saw the person who was driving, she eagerly pulled her mother closer. "Mom, it's her!

That's the woman I was talking about."

Xavier was behind the wheel of the Mercedes, which had a higher ground clearance than the Maserati. Despite the Maserati's top being up, it moved slowly enough for Hannah to see the two women inside.

Initially, Hannah mistook the woman in the front passenger seat for the one Xavier was fond of. She glanced at Felicity with a puzzled expression. "But doesn't your brother dislike women with short hair?"

"That's not her. It's the one in the driver's seat."

Hannah caught a glimpse of the driver, and her expression suddenly darkened. “No wonder your brother has a crush on her. She's stunning."

Although Felicity didn't like Claudia, she had to admit that her mother was right. Claudia was indeed beautiful.

With a snort, Felicity commented, “That's true, but if it weren't for her looks, my brother wouldn't give her a second glance. Don't let her innocent appearance fool you, Mom. She's not as sweet as she seems. Last time in the mall..."

Felicity proceeded to recount to her mother an incident that had taken place at the mall, where Claudia had caused her humiliation.

Xavier had been on a call the whole time and just hung up. He glanced at Felicity through the rearview mirror and asked, "What are you discussing without my knowledge?"

Xavier's gaze appeared to penetrate Felicity's thoughts, causing her to feel uneasy. She glanced out of the window. "Oh, nothing. I was telling Mom about something that happened to me."

Xavier continued to eye her suspiciously for a few moments before changing the subject. “Where would you like to go this afternoon?"

Felicity felt relieved when he changed the topic.

Claudia had taken Lucille to a quaint dessert shop that Aurora had stumbled upon in an alley during their last outing.

Nestled in a corner of the old city, the shop greeted them with a spacious courtyard stretching over 40 square meters. A white swing chair adorned the left side, while the right side revealed an inviting, large garden.

The interior decor exuded simplicity and elegance, with private rooms on the second floor boasting a view of the charming courtyard through their windows.

Even though it was a regular workday and not overly busy, Claudia and Lucille were well-known public figures and wouldn't go unnoticed.

Furthermore, Lucille had arrived in Linmarsh for a performance.

Both of them were remarkably beautiful, and their presence caught the attention of passersby. If they chose to sit in the hall on the first floor, they ran the risk of being recognized. Then they'd have no privacy or peace.

Claudia headed straight to the second floor and booked a cozy, private room, ensuring they could converse without interruptions.
