Chapter: 1256
After sitting for a while, she suddenly came up with an idea.
Without hesitation, she stood up and made her way out.
As Claudia stepped out, she happened to see Jackson exiting the secretary's office, documents in hand.
Noticing her, Jackson hurried over, thinking she needed something.
"Mrs. Dreskin, is there anything I can assist you with?"
A bit embarrassed, Claudia said, "Oh, it's nothing. I came by the office today without telling Bennett. I'm planning a little surprise for him."
Jackson was a clever person who knew how to handle things tactfully without being too straightforward. "Got it. I won't tell Mr. Dreskin."
"Thanks, that would be great."
With a smile, Jackson responded, “You're welcome. The meeting should be wrapping up soon. I should head to the conference room."
He explained that he had intended to be at the meeting, but had to step out for a bit at noon. Since he wouldn't make it back in time, his assistant was filling in for him.
Hearing this, Claudia quickly decided to return to the office. “I'll go back to the office then.”
"Sure, Mrs. Dreskin."
Once Claudia re-entered the office and closed the door, Jackson took his documents and made for the conference room.
He went out at noon for the project in his hand.
Shortly after Jackson got to the conference room, the meeting concluded.
When the door was opened, his assistant came out. Seeing him, he quickly handed him the meeting record. "Jackson, here are the notes from the meeting."
Jackson accepted the report from his assistant and said, "You can go home now."
The assistant exhaled in relief. The meeting had been tense. With Bennett's unyielding demeanor throughout, sitting next to him had been a nerve-wracking experience.
Hearing what Jackson said, the assistant didn't hesitate. He took the chance to leave quickly before anything could change his decision.
Jackson swiftly reviewed the meeting record and grasped the situation.
Thankfully, Claudia came.
Meanwhile, Bennett had run out of patience for lackluster excuses.
“If there's no flawless solution in five days, I expect those responsible to leave Segarine Group of their own accord."
With that declaration, he stood and exited the meeting room.
