Chapter: 1293
With plans set, Claudia and Bennett made their way home.
Climbing into the car, Claudia couldn't help but ask, "When did Aurora and Breck become so tight-knit?"
Bennett's attention snapped to her as he caught her words.
Just when he expected Claudia to carry on, she muttered, "But during our last dinner, Aurora and Breck really hit it off!"
Aurora was an extrovert, and Breck was no different.
Claudia considered it ordinary for two sociable individuals to share a meal together.
Upon hearing this, Bennett responded with a silent smile.
His wife was undeniably innocent.
After Claudia and Bennett left, the vibrant smile on Aurora's face gradually faded, leaving an air of detachment.
Noticing the change in her expression, Breck frowned involuntarily.
“Are you anxious that our relationship might get out?"
Locking eyes with him, Aurora questioned, “Don't you feel it's inappropriate for the two of us to go public with our relationship?"
“Why would it be inappropriate? Is there some law against being romantically involved?"
“Romantically involved?" Aurora asked.
At what point did their relationship evolve into love?
Observing her frown and disagreement, Breck grew uneasy and asked, “Why are you so worked up? If we're not dating, what else could it possibly be?"
Aurora scoffed, "I didn't realize that the two of us were in love."
Her words immediately infuriated Breck. "Aurora, what do you mean by that?"
Aurora didn't mince words. "Do you believe we're in love just because we've slept together a few times? Besides, even if we're in a relationship, what's the big deal? Will we get married? Can you marry me?"
Every question she posed carried a stark reality, leaving Breck with no room for rebuttal.
However, the lack of a counterargument fueled his growing fury.
Gazing at the person across the table, Breck clenched his teeth and expressed, "So, you believe our connection is merely that of sexual partners?"
“If that's your perspective, then I won't argue."
There was no point in arguing about this question. Aurora took a sip of water and added, "I'm heading back to change my clothes. My treat this time. I feel bad for letting you foot the bill every time."
