Chapter: 1294
She picked up her bag and headed to pay the bill.

As Breck sat there, anger simmered within him.

After a few minutes of sitting, he stood up and hurried after Aurora.

At the restaurant's entrance, Aurora had settled the bill and was hailing a taxi.

“Would you let him touch you if it was someone else that night?"

Breck extended his hand to grab her phone and asked.

Aurora understood his implication. She questioned her decision to be with him that night.

She couldn't provide Breck with a clear response, yet she understood his expectations.

The answer he sought eluded her. "I believe that night, we both succumbed to adult impulses under the influence of alcohol. I assume you don't take issue with that, Mr. Santos."

“Aurora!"

Breck had never been this furious.

He truly wished he could delve into her mind to understand her thoughts.

“There are other people around; I don't want to argue with you."

Noticing someone approaching, Aurora subtly stepped aside, unfazed by his anger.

"You..." Breck considered himself quite eloquent, but facing Aurora, he discovered he couldn't come up with any words to counter her.

Claudia and Bennett arrived at the racecourse just before three o'clock. After putting on her protective gear, Claudia mounted Proudsnow and rode slowly, with Bennett following on Windchaser.

The two horses were well-kept and glimmered in the sun as they moved.

Their coats and manes were smooth and glossy, and the attention to detail in their grooming made them eye-catching.

They attracted the attention of onlookers, and children pointed excitedly, gushing about the horses' beauty and exclaiming that they wanted to ride such beautiful horses, too.

It was impossible for the horses raised by the racecourse for tourists to be as good. Usually, it wasn't obvious, but once a privately owned horse appeared, racecourse horses paled in comparison, and the difference was strikingly apparent.

The financial commitment to raise Windchaser and Proudsnow was substantial, with the yearly expenses easily amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The well-bred horses were akin to well-dressed people, their differences visible at a mere glance compared to their more ordinary counterparts.

Touching Proudsnow's hair, Claudia grew more and more fond of the horse.

Bennett rode with her for a while. Soon, Aurora and Breck arrived.
