Chapter: 1297
Claudia quickly averted her eyes from him and changed the subject.
“Do you often have meals with Breck?"
Aurora's heart skipped a beat. “Err, no. Not often. We just grab a bite when we have some free time."
"Didn't you ask Breck to introduce you to an eligible bachelor last time? Have you found any potential candidates?”
Claudia didn't dwell on it. Being somewhat naive, she found Aurora's explanation reasonable and saw no issue.
Aurora looked away, feeling guilty. "No. You know, people in this circle aren't that straightforward."
"Well, what about those outside the circle?"
Aurora artfully crafted a story. "He mentioned that they were already in relationships."
"I see."
“By the way, has Anthony come to visit you recently?"
Claudia initially shook her head, but then she nodded and said, "Actually, he seemed like he had something to say to me the last time I saw him, but I ignored him."
“Just brush him off. He's marrying Darlene. Why's he still pretending to be affectionate? It's pathetic!"
Claudia also felt baffled. Why hadn't she noticed Anthony's thick skin before?
Probably because she was still too young.
After a brief hesitation, Aurora inquired, "Have you encountered any peculiar individuals Lately?"
Claudia furrowed her brow, a bit confused. "No."
Having stayed indoors mostly, she hadn't crossed paths with anyone.
"A few days ago, I saw a woman who looked like Delilah."
Claudia hadn't heard that name for a while. When she heard it again, she frowned. "Didn't she go abroad?"
Aurora shrugged. “Who knows? It's been half a year. Maybe she's back!"
"As long as she stays out of my way and doesn't provoke me, I don't care if she's returned home."
Claudia didn't intend to get even with Delilah.
However, if Delilah overstepped, Claudia wouldn't let her get away with it.
Claudia and Aurora started to ride while chatting.
