Chapter: 32
He was left speechless and in disbelief.
Anthony tore up the contract and defiantly threw the shreds into the air. Kase and the other senior executives, who had just stepped out the meeting room, watched in suspense, their breath held tightly in anticipation.
The senior executives then silently walked away, their heads bowed low.
However, as Anthony's secretary, Kase couldn't simply walk away without addressing the situation.
Standing by silently, Kase felt the need to keep his head down and remain silent, hoping to avoid becoming the target of Anthony's anger.
Regardless of his attempts, escape was a Luxury he didn't possess.
Anthony's gaze found him, and his words followed. “Hand me your phone."
His expression was stern, and his tone was icy. Kase handed over his phone, a glance at Anthony sending beads of sweat down his spine and his grip on the device wavering. “It's yours, sir."
On receiving the Locked phone, Anthony prepared to lash out, only to be interrupted by Kase hurriedly unlocking it using his fingerprint.
Anthony, maintaining his stern facade, promptly dialed Claudia's number.
She answered promptly this time. “Hello?”
“Cece, it's me."
His emotions bottled up as he forced out the words in a rasp.
But Claudia still recognized that it was Anthony's voice.
ALL of a sudden, Claudia's expression grew icy. She glanced down at her leg, still encased in plaster, and said with a cold tone, “If you have something to say, we can discuss it tonight."
As soon as she finished speaking, she abruptly ended the call.
Anthony's response died on his Lips as the Line cut to a busy tone. His attempts at redialing met with failure.
When he attempted to call back again, he was met with an unresponsive line.
Obviously, Claudia had blocked this phone number.
His emotions in turmoil, Anthony grappled with irritation, despair, and fear.
In the past, Claudia had always been sweet and docile. However, after the wedding, her character seemed to have undergone a complete transformation.
He understood Claudia’s anger.
