Chapter: 358
She had done such a horrible thing to him. How dare she show up when it had only been hours?
At the thought of this, Claudia was reminded of Bennett's eyes when he kissed her collarbone.
His kiss was Lustful and punishing.
He could have bitten her just to make her feel pain, but he didn't! Alas! Bennett was a good man.
He wasn't even half as brutal as she had been when she bit him Last night.
A chill sent Claudia trembling a little when she remembered how wonderful his abdominal muscles felt. She buried her face in her hands, shame creeping in yet again.
She was yet to recover when someone knocked on the door.
After Looking up sharply, her body went numb.
She didn't have the balls to answer the door.
Claudia prayed he wouldn't knock again. Much to her disappointment, he knocked again and again.
There was a stalemate soon. After about two minutes, Bennett said, “I dropped your slippers at the threshold. You still want them, don't you?"
Blushing, Claudia jumped out of bed and ran to open the door.
She was greeted with the sight of him bending down to place her rabbit flip-flops at the foot of the door.
When his eyes fell on her bare feet, he paused and said, "Be careful not to catch a cold.”
Claudia's toes curled instantly.
Fortunately, he left without saying anything more.
Claudia went back into her room. But after her stomach continued to rumble and ache, she took the plunge by going downstairs for breakfast.
Her actions at the table seemed mechanical. She didn't make eye contact with him and just helped herself to some food. While she munched, her eyes occasionally wandered to his collar. Each time, she looked away sharply.
Marcia came to clear the table when they were done. She also asked what they would like for Lunch.
Seeing Bennett ascend the stairs, the knot in Claudia's chest finally loosened. She then named the two dishes she would like to have.
Her favorite thing to do after having breakfast and chatting with Marcia was practice the piano.
However, she wasn't in the mood for that today. She found herself zoning out after playing Symphony of Destiny twice.
Her phone which was on the frame had been buzzing from time to time. Claudia read all of Aurora's messages, but she didn't reply.
She was busy browsing for the best treatments for sleepwalking when Marcia came over.
