“Then why Zaria do such a thing?"

Benico didn't know the answer to that too. He read through Zaria's statement again and his face darkened. "Claudia is really something! First, she married Bennett legally without my consent. And now, she has managed to manipulate Zaria to the extent that the poor girl is doing things to please her.”

With a straight face, Benico added, "I have to meet the woman who has turned my plans upside down!"

Later that day, Claudia was surprised to receive a call from Benico's secretary.

The secretary rambled a series of instructions and hung up the phone before she could speak. How rude!

Claudia stared at her phone with her mouth agape. Did she have to go see Benico just because he told her so?

Hell no!

She didn't, and she wouldn't!

Anyway, she had to report this to Bennett.

She walked out of her room and went straight to Bennett's. She knocked on the door.

It didn't take long before the door was answered.

The first thing Claudia saw was his eight-pack abs

That was unexpected.

Nonetheless, her eyes lit up and her mouth opened at this beauty.

Bennett uttered leisurely, "What's up?" Although he pulled his bathrobe to cover up, his chest was still visible.

Claudia blinked and shook her head to come back to her senses. Then, she looked up at him with the calmest face she could pull off. "I just received a call from your father's secretary."

“What did he say?"

Bennett turned around and walked into the room. After standing at the threshold for a while, Claudia took a bold step and finally walked in.

"Well, he said that your father wants to see me ASAP and that I have to be at Moon Lake Teahouse at half past noon tomorrow.”

“You don't have to go."

Claudia shrugged.

“I wasn't planning on going. Just wanted to tell you."

“That's good then."

Glancing to her leg, Bennett asked, "How is your leg now? Will it be re-examined?"
