Chapter: 393
She was only going to sign a contract and would return shortly, so she dressed simply. Her hair was casually braided, resting over her right shoulder, her face adorned with only sunscreen and Lipstick.
She carried her bag and went downstairs. When she met Bennett who came upstairs, Claudia reported, "I'm going out to sign a contract."
Bennett looked at her, stating, "Let me drive you there." Claudia wanted to mention that a taxi would suffice, but Bennett was already on his way.
She gazed after Bennett's retreating form, and then headed downstairs, poured herself a glass of water, and waited for him.
Soon, Bennett descended the stairs, dressed in black casual trousers and a matching silk Loose shirt.
As he approached, Claudia couldn't help but notice how elongated his legs seemed.
Bennett came to her soon and said, "I'm ready."
Claudia took another sip of water, holding the glass.
Bennett was generally clad in formal attire, his appearance dignified and restrained. She admired his physique but never dared to cross any boundaries with him.
Today, though, he exuded a noble charm mixed with a touch of elegance and romance, igniting a mischievous desire within her to tease him.
Once inside the car, Claudia found herself unable to glance at the man next to her.
The carriage was quite cramped, and his distinct woody scent would occasionally waft over, tempting her to violate his personal space.
Her gaze fixed out the window, she found herself pondering Bennett's long legs and the glimpse of his firm chest visible beneath his open collar.
Throughout the drive, she struggled to keep her composure.
Thankfully, their destination, where Joann and Mathews awaited, was not far from the villa. They would be there in twenty minutes.
When the car stopped, Claudia stole a glance at Bennett, quickly unbuckled her seatbelt and exited the car. "I'm running late. Mr. Dreskin, I'm heading up. If you have other things to do, don't wait up for me!"
Then she ran to the elevator.
As he watched Claudia join others in the elevator, Bennett's brow furrowed, and he looked down at his collar.
His open collar showed just the right amount of his chest-inviting, but also not too revealing.
But why hadn't she Looked at him? Was she tired of him so soon?
Bennett's hand twitched on the steering wheel, his index finger tapping twice. Slowly, he raised his hand and fastened the second button of his shirt. Then, with measured steps, he headed towards the elevator.
He was curious to discover what game Mathews was playing.
The moment the elevator door slid open and she walked out, Claudia nearly bumped into Joann, who was stepping out of the adjacent elevator.
She hadn't noticed her and mumbled an apology before hurrying on.
