She just sat at the table with him, kept her head down, and focused on her food.
This setup lasted for five whole days. Today was Friday. Bennett had a dinner party in the evening. Marcia made some chicken soup for Claudia, but she didn't feel Like having it.
After having a few spoonful of soup and cleaning up after herself, Claudia went upstairs to her room.
Feeling cooped up, she lay on the bed and stared at the ceiling.
After a few minutes, Aurora sent her a message, asking her if she wanted to go hang out and have fun tomorrow. Normally, she would text back right away and ask Aurora with enthusiasm where they were going. But not today. When she saw the message, she felt no desire to reply. She sent another message that read, “I'm not trying to put you down or anything. In fact, I think you're really pretty. Maybe you're just not his type, so he rejected you. You're awesome, Claudia, and you have a voice like an angel's. If I were a man, I would've married you long go."
Claudia's reply read, “Okay. I suppose that's a Little comforting." Just a Little though, since Aurora wasn't a man.
Aurora texted back, "It's not a big deal. There are so many fish in the sea, dear. So what if Bennett doesn't like you? I'm sure there are other guys out there who'll be happy to be with you."
Claudia replied, “But I don't like other guys.” Aurora then messaged, “But you know what I mean, though, right? So what do you say, gorgeous? Will you go out and have fun with me tomorrow?"
