Chapter: 538
After thinking for a while, Claudia made a decision. Instead of sitting around at home and moping, she might as well go out with Aurora and forget her woes for a while.

“Well, I'm in.”

After chatting with Aurora for a bit, Claudia found herself in a better mood.

She still felt a little depressed, but life was always about suffering, wasn't it?

She just had to take it easy. There was still more to life, and she should enjoy it. She would die one day, and she didn't want to have regrets.

Yes. That was the spirit!

Claudia gathered her emotions, and readied herself for a shower and some rest.

Typically, as a dedicated wife, she'd be awaiting Bennett's return. But today, Claudia didn't feel like being that dedicated wife. After all, their marriage was just a sham.

And he clearly wasn't fond of her!

Before the clock struck nine, Claudia bathed and nestled into bed. Despite her sour mood, she dozed off quickly after shutting off the lights, perhaps due to her restless past couple of nights.

At nine o'clock in the evening.

A car halted outside the villa, from which a man clad in a sleek black suit emerged.

Instinctively, Bennett's gaze trailed up to the two-story home. ALl was dark on the second floor.

His brow furrowed as he unlocked the villa's entrance.

The usually well-lit first floor was shrouded in darkness now, which felt unfamiliar to Bennett. He swapped his shoes and headed straight up to the second floor.

The piano room was vacant, its door shut tight.

Given Claudia's regular habits, it seemed odd. It was merely nine; she didn't usually sleep this early.

Had she stepped out?

He pulled out his phone and noticed that apart from Grover, there were no messages from anyone else.

It was definitely not normal.

Pausing outside Claudia's room, Bennett eventually retrieved a spare key to unlock her door.

Within the dimly lit room, Claudia was sound asleep.

Clearly, this was intentional.

Well, his little bunny was angry.
