Chapter: 571
Hearing Amya, Anthony frowned and asked Kristy, “Why does your friend talk Like that?"
Kristy pinched Amya's side, prompting her to shut up.
Amya had no choice but to back down.
“Let me show you in, Mrs. Dreskin."
Claudia didn't want to spend even a second alone with Amya, so she said, "No need, Miss Murray. You should just greet the other guests. I can find my own way inside."
It wasn't her first time in this banquet hall.
Three months ago, when she and Anthony almost got married, they held their wedding ceremony here.
Three months later, Anthony was celebrating his engagement to another woman in this very same room and invited her, his ex-bride-to-be, as a guest.
What a jerk he was! "Let me accompany you inside, Cece." Anthony let go of Kristy's hand and walked over to Claudia.
However, Claudia reflexively stepped back and said, "I'm quite familiar with this place, Mr. Nixon. Have you forgotten?”
She glanced at Anthony and flashed him a faint smile. Anthony froze for a moment and then snapped right back to his senses. By the time he realized what Claudia was insinuating, Claudia had already walked in.
Holding back her temper, Kristy stepped forward and pointed out, "Mrs.
Dreskin is already inside, Anthony."
Anthony reluctantly took his eyes off Claudia. Then, he looked at his fiancee and asked, "Did you intentionally book this place for our engagement party?"
“What do you mean?" Anthony didn't want to quarrel with Kristy at this time, so he just said, "Never mind. Let's just go welcome our guests."
Then, he adjusted his bow tie and collar and walked toward the entrance.
Watching Anthony walk away, Kristy balled her hands into fists. Then, she turned to Amya and said something.
Upon hearing Kristy's words, Amya got even more excited.
“Okay. Rest assured, I'll keep a close eye on this matter."
Kristy nodded and said, "Go ahead."
She would like to see if Claudia could still be the proud Mrs. Dreskin after tonight.
The engagement party didn't start right away. Claudia‘s arrival time was just right. She was neither early nor late.
She chose a quiet spot in the banquet hall and stayed there. She planned on staying for a little bit and then leaving.
However, she didn't expect to run into an acquaintance at the place she randomly picked.
