Chapter: 607
Reading Aurora's Latest message, Claudia was stunned. Her heart started racing again.
“If that was the case, then he just told me that I should declare my love for him. Do you think he did that to get me to confess to him so that he could reject me?"
Aurora said helplessly, "Why don't you look at this the other way? Like he simply wants to confirm your feelings for him?"
Claudia asked, "Why does he want to confirm my feelings for him?" At this point, Aurora really thought that her bosom friend was an idiot. She wrote, "You know what, forget it. Maybe we're just reading too much into this."
“I'm sorry, Mr. Dreskin. I can do nothing about my infuriatingly oblivious friend," Aurora muttered to herself.
To be fair, Claudia was only a little insensitive. She wasn't stupid per se.
“Aurora, are you telling me that Bennett likes me?" Claudia asked.
Aurora answered in exasperation, "Well, don't you feel it?"
Claudia thought it was inconceivable, so she asked, "Is it even possible? Maybe you're wrong. I mean, why would he like me?"
Aurora replied, “Well, I don't think that's for me to answer. Why don't you ask Mr. Dreskin and get it over with?"
Claudia said, "No. I would never dare."
Aurora was all out of ideas
Feeling her rapid heartbeat, Claudia scrolled through all the messages she and Aurora exchanged.
Even though she was being a bit thickheaded, she still could see what Aurora was trying to tell her.
But how could it be possible?
How could Bennett Like her?
Claudia let this thought bother her the entire night. As a result, she didn't get much sleep.
The next day, when she got up for breakfast, she kept her head down at the table the entire time. She didn't want the dark circles under her eyes to be seen.
The truth was, if she had the courage to ask Bennett at this time, she was convinced that he would give her an answer.
She could just easily find out whether or not he Liked her
But she dared not inquire.
She was afraid that the answer would be the one she didn't want to hear.
After that day, Claudia no Longer dared to Look directly into Bennett's eyes. She was terrified that if they locked gazes, Bennett would figure out what she was thinking.
She was scared of rejection and didn't make any move, but someone else might not do the same.
