Chapter: 609
“Well, you're allowed to be jealous, but I don't think it's necessary for you to feel that way." Then, Aurora sighed and added, “Look at it from this perspective; you are much closer to him than Kayla, which means you have the advantage. And you're already Mrs. Dreskin! There's no need for you to be intimidated by her.”

Claudia acknowledged the fact that she was being a coward. "I understand that, but I'm just afraid. I don't know why the situation intimidates me."

After glancing at her, Aurora figured out why Claudia was afraid.

As the saying went, “once bitten, twice shy." Ever since Claudia was deeply hurt by her past relationship with Anthony, she had become more cautious when it came to relationships, even with someone as amazing as Bennett.

Aurora was saddened by the fact that even though she was Claudia's friend, she couldn't think of anything that could help her right now.

She wondered if personally speaking to Bennett about this situation would help.

But when she remembered how indifferent and aloof the guy always was. Aurora hesitated.

In the end, she decided against talking to him. She wasn't Claudia, so she probably wouldn't receive the same kindness that Claudia was receiving from Bennett.

After seeing Kayla and Bennett here having dinner together, Claudia lost her appetite. She lowered her head like a withered flower, refusing to utter another word.

Aurora didn't like seeing her friend like this, so she proposed that they should go take a stroll along the river to relax and help keep her mind off things.

“Okay," Claudia replied absentmindedly.

Thereafter, Aurora decided to pay for the bill first. "Wait for me at the door, okay? I'll go get our bill first."

“Okay. Thanks, Aurora."

Then, Claudia picked up her purse, glancing upstairs reflexively the moment she stood up.

They had been up there for over forty minutes. What could they be talking about? Did they really have so many things to say to each other?

They were even more chatty than her and Aurora!

Just thinking about it was making Claudia feel even worse.

“Hey, do you want me to take you upstairs so you can see what's going on up there?" Aurora suggested.

“Wouldn't that be inappropriate?" asked Claudia.

Even though she asked that question, she was actually tempted to go up and see what was happening.

Aurora, being perceptive as ever, was able to glean that Claudia wanted to go. Thus, she clicked her tongue and led her friend upstairs.

Upstairs, there were twelve small private rooms. Looking through them one by one would be quite rude for the other guests.

Fortunately, a waiter happened to pass by. Aurora took the opportunity to stop him and ask, “Hi, there! Do you know which private room Mr. Dreskin is having dinner in?"

Someone of Bennett's stature would surely be provided with the best possible service by the restaurant.
