Chapter: 645
“There's no winning prize, but there's a punishment for the loser. Whoever loses has to down a liter of ."
They were not strapped for money, so they chose to do something interesting instead.
"Do you want to play against us?"
Breck arched a brow, his interest piqued. "Does the winner get to win something?"
In the midst of their conversation, a woman's voice interrupted, “Hello.. Town- Oh, I mean, Bennett."
The sound of the familiar voice brought great dismay to everyone present.
It was Kayla again.
Claudia involuntarily drew closer to Bennett as she recalled the events of the previous evening.
Bennett noticed it and immediately released her hand.
When he suddenly let go of her hand, Claudia was left with a hollow feeling.
Before she could feel sad about it, however, an arm encircled her waist.
Bennett pulled her closer to him until she was almost leaning against him.
The action did not go unnoticed by Kayla. She gripped the club more tightly before taking her eyes off the couple, still smiling. "I thought I was seeing things when I saw you from afar earlier."
It was the second time that Kayla had suddenly barged in. Even Breck, who was not exactly the brightest bulb in the chandelier, could tell that she had been up to something.
He arched his brow and remarked, "What a coincidence, indeed! Even though this golf course is big, we still managed to bump into each other."
There was a hint of sarcasm in Breck's tone, and both Claudia and Kayla detected it.
Kayla did not let it bother her, though. She turned to Claudia and asked, “Can you play golf too?"
Claudia, a bit taken aback by her question, replied slowly, "I'm not good at it."
"I'm not good at golf, either, but Bennett is great at it."
Claudia did not bother commenting on that. She tugged at the hem of Bennett's shirt and muttered, "Is Breck good at golf?"
Before Bennett could answer, Breck proudly stated, “Even though I'm not as good at golf as Bennett, I'm not bad at it either."
“How about Mr. Foster?"
Bennett glanced at Duncan and answered, "He's better than Breck.” Claudia frowned a little before saying, "If that's the case, we'll definitely lose if we go against them."
Breck grinned.
