Aurora squinted her eyes.

“Really? I can't see them properly. They're too far away.”

Claudia snickered.

“Anyways... Hurry up and decide what you want to eat so that we can order. If we don't do it now, there'll be more customers later, and then we'll have to wait Longer for the food to be served."

Aurora had not had much time to eat during lunch because she was busy with work, so she was hungry right now.

While she browsed the menu, she ranted about how she had to work late for a week straight to accommodate her demanding clients. "It's absurd! I spent three days revising the plan. Then, in the end, they told me that they'd decided to use the original version. I almost lost my cool yesterday. I was really close to cursing them in their faces! Anyway, I've decided what to order. What do you want to eat, baby?"

Aurora returned the menu to Claudia. She took a sip of water before giving her friend a meaningful look and asking, “So, did you like my gift?"

Claudia Looked up from the menu and frowned, confused by the question She put a tick on a fruit platter on the menu, and then inquired, "What gift?”

She then rang the service bell.

Aurora replied with a straight face, "You know, the sexy lingerie I bought for you."

Claudia froze.

She stared at Aurora as if she had just seen a ghost.

By the time the waiter arrived, Claudia's face was still flushed. As she handed him the menu, she avoided Aurora's gaze out of embarrassment and said, "I marked our order on the menu."

Aurora refilled her glass with water, Laughing. "Your face is so red! I guess everything went well, huh?"

Claudia gaped at her.

Sometimes, she really wanted to crack Aurora's skull open to see how dirty her mind was.

Even if they were the best of friends, it was inappropriate for them to talk about such a topic.

Aurora, fortunately, was sensible enough not to push further.

“Alright, I won't ask any more questions. I already know anyway."

“What? What do you know exactly?" Claudia asked.

She did not say anything. What did Aurora know?

“What are you thinking, you dirty-minded woman?"

Finally, Aurora stopped joking when she noticed that the redness on Claudia's face had spread to her ears and instead inquired, “How did your meal with Bennett's uncle and aunt go? Were they mean to you?" Claudia drank some water before shaking her head. "Not at all. They even gave me a set of ruby jewelry.”

“I see.. Let's stop talking about this, okay?"
