Chapter: 726
While she had planned to post a regular tweet, Bennett had taken a step further to hype his own!
Claudia inquired about the tweet because she noticed that her Twitter following had grown to nine hundred thousand users after the concert. She wanted to know if the tweet had any effect on Bennett's company's reputation.
Bennett used Twitter in ways that set him apart from the average user due to his wealth and status.
He actually paid to have his tweet, which simply said, “Happy birthday to Mrs. Dreskin," become the top trending topic worldwide.
The netizens were confused at first, but when they learned it was only a wealthy man's extravagant method of expressing his love for his wife, they were astonished.
"What the hell? This is sweet and all, but it's also sickening."
“Damn it! Is this how rich people express their love?"
"Oh, my God. Whoever this Mrs. Dreskin is, happy birthday to you! Although I do hope you two will learn to keep your public displays of affection to a minimum in the future, or I will cry."
“I'm so jealous! Mrs. Dreskin, can you lend your husband to me? Just one day will do!"
Soon, the netizens discovered Claudia's Twitter account. Her most recent tweet had the same content as her Latest post on Facebook.
That was how people found out that she was the Mrs. Dreskin in Bennett's tweet.
Within half an hour, Claudia's latest tweet had received tens of thousands of comments.
People sent her birthday greetings and congratulated her in her post's comments section, and a few brave ones even messaged her directly.
As a result, Claudia abruptly closed the Twitter app on her phone and did not open it again.
Marcia approached them and informed them that Lunch would be ready in twenty minutes.
Claudia, noticing that Bennett was staring at his phone, asked curiously, “What are you looking at?"
“I'm reading the comments."
Claudia froze for a second, and then she blurted out, "I'm going to the bathroom!"
With that, she quickly left for the bathroom.
Thankfully, she was a fast runner. She would have to Listen to him read the comments out loud otherwise.
Claudia stayed inside for a few minutes until she gathered enough courage to come out. When she opened the door, she noticed Bennett staring at her from the sofa.
She felt embarrassed by his stare but tried not to show it on her face as she approached him. "What's wrong?”
"The tweets and comments made about us are rather interesting. Do you want to read them?"
“Lunch will be ready soon," Claudia said instead of answering the question. It was a clear rejection, though.
