Chapter: 765
It was then that her passenger Looked up and recognized Claudia. "Oh, it's you!"
Aurora quickly moved to Claudia's side and confronted the woman. "Who are you? Don't you dare say anything nonsensical!"
Claudia also recognized the woman and snorted.
“Miss Armstrong, are you also tipsy today?"
The other morning, this woman, Felicity Armstrong had rear-ended Claudia and tried to pin the blame on her. Only when the traffic police were called did it come to Light that Felicity had been driving under the influence.
Felicity's face flushed with embarrassment. She glanced back at their vehicles and sneered.
“Feel free to call the police again!"
She then turned to her companion and said, “Let's just leave. These people are not worth our time.”
The duo sauntered off, leaving Claudia's car stuck in an awkward position. Impatient drivers behind them began to honk their horns, forcing Claudia to pull Aurora back as she tried to go after them. "Let it go. She's not worth the trouble.”
Hearing the symphony of honks escalating behind them, Aurora huffed and returned to the car.
Claudia then found another parking spot and carefully maneuvered her car into it.
Claudia soon found another parking spot and settled the car. Aurora, still irritated, turned to her friend. "Do you know those women?"
Claudia shook her head. "No, not really. I did have an incident Last week on my way to work, though. My car got rear-ended. I wanted to resolve it privately, but the driver made a fuss. So Joann and I waited for the traffic police. That woman from the passenger seat just now was the driver the other day."
Aurora remembered the story. "Right, wasn't she intoxicated while driving that day?"
Claudia nodded. "Yes, Joann told me she had her license hit with twelve penalty points.”
"No wonder she wasn't driving today." Aurora pressed the elevator button and added, “Those two must be new in town. I've never seen them around."
Considering Claudia and Joann were well-acquainted with Linmarsh's upper-class circle, it was indeed peculiar.
Indeed, Claudia had never seen those women before. Nevertheless, she didn't care all that much about them.
“Perhaps they're not from Linmarsh."
As the elevator doors slid open, Aurora said, "Let's not let them ruin our day.”
Claudia concurred, "Let's go check out the latest fashion."
With their moods lifted, they headed straight for the boutique, chatting away.
However, their luck seemed to be souring. They ran into the same two women as soon as they entered the shop.
Unsurprisingly, the duo noticed them too. The woman who'd been driving was browsing through clothes. She looked over, sneering. "Felicity, I told you we should've stayed in today. Just Look.”
