Chapter: 766
Seated on a nearby sofa, Felicity snapped her phone shut and glanced disdainfully at Claudia and Aurora. She beckoned to a sales associate.
“Where's your manager?"
Recognizing Felicity as an abrasive customer, the associate quickly fetched the manager.
“What can I assist you with, ma'am?"
Felicity showed off her phone number to the manager without hesitation. "Verify my membership number. I'm a WIP. If I remember correctly, your
WIPs have the authority to request other customers leave the store.”
She then glanced at Claudia and sneered, “Have her removed. She's a nuisance."
The manager, skilled in reading people, hesitated for a moment.
She glanced at Claudia and Aurora for a moment, noticing that their bags were far too ordinary. Even though the clothes they were wearing were made from good materials, they weren't from designer brands.
Her eyes then shifted to Felicity, who was casually toting a new handbag from this season and donning a designer dress and matching high-end heels. The value of Felicity's ensemble easily cost a fortune.
Now that she had noted the differences between both parties, the manager had a decision to make.
She had climbed the ranks of her profession by being discerning rather than dismissive.
With a courteous nod, she first acknowledged Felicity's request. She directed her staff to hang a "Closed" sign on the entrance and then approached Claudia and Aurora.
“Ladies, I'm truly sorry. We're short-staffed and must prioritize service. I'll have to ask you to leave, but please accept this token of our apology.”
Under ordinary circumstances, Aurora would have taken the gift and exited graciously.
However, because of their unpleasant encounter with Felicity and her companion at the parking lot, added to the fact that these two women were antagonizing them again, she was irked. She wasn't going to let them walk all over her.
“Are you seriously just going to drive us away? So, you prioritize VIPs, huh? I happen to be a VIP too!”
The manager maintained her composure.
“If you could provide your phone number for verification, that will be nice."
Aurora faced a dilemma. She wasn't the VVIP-the credit belonged to her stepmother. If she used her stepmother's number, she'd hear about it in no time, served with a dollop of ridicule.
However, years of clashing with her stepmother had thickened her skin.
Just as Aurora was about to give the number, Claudia calmly interjected with a different phone number.
Aurora whipped her head in surprise.
Aurora paused, glancing at Claudia with raised eyebrows.
