Chapter: 768
A wave of embarrassment washed over Claudia.
Even so, she was able to maintain her composure. "Is that so?" Thereafter, she pulled out her phone. She found the photo of the dressing room she'd shown Aurora Last month. Tapping on the image, she remarked, "Aren't these pieces from your store?”
The manager took note of the clothing in the image. Among seven or eight outfits, two were exclusive summer styles from the shop. Those two dresses alone had a price tag surpassing eight hundred thousand.
It was not just about the money, though. It was the exclusivity of those garments. Only two of those dresses had made it to Linmarsh, and both were claimed before they hit the store.
Clearly, those capable of securing such rare dresses weren't just your run-of-the-mill wealthy.
The manager adopted a respectful and careful tone with Claudia, inquiring, "Miss, might you have another contact number? Maybe you made a mistake and the membership wasn't Linked to the number you just gave me?"
Claudia realized it was time to step back. She was a Little concerned that Bennett was just a regular customer here, considering he hadn't shopped much for women's attire before he met her.
“Never mind, it's not important. Since you're insisting on kicking us out, we will go."
As she said this, she shared a look with Aurora, and they prepared to exit the store side by side.
Having seen the picture on Claudia’s phone, the store manager hesitated, unwilling to let them leave just Like that.
Despite not wearing any designer clothes, Claudia carried herself with a dignified and understated grace.
Allowing them to leave could potentially offend a very important customer.
A realization dawned on her that upsetting a high-value customer could jeopardize her role as the store manager.
“Hold on, ladies, please!"
As Claudia neared the exit, genuinely intending to leave, she was caught off guard both by the manager's plea and Maleah’s mocking voice echoing behind her.
“I wonder whose pictures you borrowed to flaunt. It's quite a first for me to see someone boasting with just a photo Felicity, given your vast experience, have you ever encountered someone Like this?"
Looking at Claudia and Aurora, Felicity sneered undisguisedly.
“In my entire life, I haven't encountered anyone like this Aurora was already simmering with rage but hadn't anticipated the relentless provocation from the two women. Finally, she exploded.
“Oh, drop the act already. What does it matter if you're dressed in expensive and well-known brands? Engaging in disgraceful acts such as fighting over a parking spot and driving drunk doesn't portray you ina good light. You know what? Even drenching in Jo Malone perfume won't conceal your uncivilized nature! You are nothing more than embodiments of tackiness!"
Aurora finished, with a disdainful snort. Picking up on the animosity and the history hinted at in Aurora's words, the manager understood that there was an existing feud between them.
The manager signaled the assistant with a subtle wink, encouraging Aurora to stay calm while directing the assistant to converse with Felicity.
Felicity remained unhappy with the proposed resolution, maintaining that the other two women should be kicked out.
Aurora, having said her grievances, felt a weight lifted off her shoulders and had no interest in Lingering any longer.
She cast a glance at Claudia, suggesting, “Cece, let's find somewhere else. This place is tainted by their presence.”
