Chapter: 983
"Okay, I'll order six cans of beer.”
Claudia frowned, thinking that she had heard him wrong.
"Six cans?"
"It's okay. We can leave them here if we can't finish them.
When Claudia saw Aurora pop open a can and start chugging, she reminded her, "Slow down, Aurora."
"Relax. I have a high tolerance for alcohol."
"I mean, you might get indigestion later."
Aurora blinked.
"Oh. You're right."
She put the canned beer down and said, "I'll drink it later."
The awkwardness in the atmosphere was lifted when Breck asked Claudia about something.
While they were talking, the door of the private room opened, and the waiter walked in, pushing a cart inside. Soon, five pounds of crawfish was placed on the table.
The group of four put some gloves on before they started eating.
Securing the gloves on her hands, Claudia glanced at Bennett and asked, “You don't know how to eat it, do you?"
Bennett gave her a small smile.
"Yes, I haven't eaten crawfish before."
“It's very simple. Let me teach you."
Breck and Aurora exchanged glances, then moved on to another topic of conversation.
Bennett was a quick learner. He learned how to peel crawfish by simply observing Claudia peeling one.
The five pounds of crawfish came in three different flavors.
Claudia watched as Bennett put a strip of crawfish into his mouth.
When he frowned, she immediately knew he did not like it, so she did not force him to eat more. She lowered her head and focused on her own food.
Breck and Aurora, on the other hand, were talking about their respective social groups. Claudia listened to them while they ate, but she understood very little of what they were saying.
Suddenly, a plate of peeled crawfish was placed in front of her.
