Chapter: 1725
"No," Aldrin refused, gently pushing her hand away.

"I need to be alone," he insisted and hurried off.

Camila figured he was struggling to come to terms with Laura leaving.

With a heavy heart, she knew this was something Aldrin had to work through on his own.

No words from anyone else would help.

She got into her car, settling back as the driver pulled away.

Resting against the seat, she closed her eyes, massaging her temples.

Creak!

Suddenly, the car abruptly came to a stop.

Caught off guard, Camila lurched forward, her forehead hitting the front seat.

Rubbing her forehead, she asked, "What's going on?"

“Mrs. Johnston, look over there." The driver pointed.

Following his direction, Camila's eyes widened in shock.

The next moment, she was out of the car and racing towards something!

Aldrin lay on the ground, blood trickling from his forehead.

The driver, in a state of panic, kept repeating, "I didn't hit him, I swear. He ran into my car."

"Get over here and help me, now!" Camila demanded, her voice deep with urgency.

She couldn't lift Aldrin by herself.

Given Aldrin's recent heart surgery, his body was more delicate than most.

The driver hurried over and helped lift Aldrin up.
